COMMON QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

What is a psychiatric nurse practitioner?

A psychiatric nurse practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse with a Master's or Doctorate degree who can diagnose and treat mental disorders. Treatment typically includes medication management.

We have several Florida board certified nurse practitioners at our facility

When can I book an appointment with one of your providers?

Please see bottom of page for each provider's availability. Additionally, please reach out via email with the following information prior to being seen:

1) Driver's license

2) Insurance card (front and back)

Is there a difference in payment for in-person and virtual visits?

Depends on your insurance...

Some insurances provide more affordable options for virtual visits. We would need to verify with our billing department if this applies for you.

What is your missed appointment and payment policy?

We charge a $50 fee for any appointments cancelled within 24 hours of time originally slotted.

If you have an outstanding balance or inactive insurance card on file we will attempt to reach you 3 times. If unable to reach you after multiple attempts, upcoming appointments shall be put on hold.

What is the best way to reach your office?

You can call our office during business hours Mondays-Fridays, 10am- 4pm. We are also highly responsive via text and email.
